Heath definitely produced a modification kit for the
DX-100/DX-100B to use with the SB-10. It is described
in the SB-10 manual (don't have my copy handy right
now to get the exact model number of the kit).
It definitely was a real "pain" to add the SB-10 to
the DX-100 since you had to not only drill the front
panel to install the switch, but you also had to punch
the back panel for the two SO-239 connectors. Where
the DX-100B was considered, you only had to drill a
hole in the front panel.
Also, Heath had the modification kit for improving the
keying of both transmitters and to add a "spotting"
switch to the front panel. I have the instructions
for that in my hands right now. However, I do not see
any mention of the number of the modification kit to
do this. But, there definitely was a kit which
included the push button switch and the capacitors,
etc., necessary to do the modifications.

As I recall, the DX 100 could be modified for use with
the SB-10, but it required making the holes on the
back apron and installing the so-239 sockets and other
components for wiring in the SB-10. You had to
scrounge the parts yourself.
