HW-101 INTERNAL FREQUENCY DISPLAY

These articles were published in either 73 or Ham Radio Magazine (most likely 73 mag early 80's?).  One of the construction articles was for a digital frequency display that would get installed behind the dial window glass on a HW-101.  I have looked high and low through my archives for this article, but no luck.  I have tried posting my request on another BBS, as I had hoped that someone would remember it or may have built one and could send me a copy of the circuit out of the magazine.  Can someone here help me?  Did I imagine this project?  Help me get my sanity back!
