Yes, that is correct. The SB-1000 was a private-labeled repackaged AL-80A

Certain amplifier manufacturers may argue vehemently with you to the
contrary, but if your bandswitch failed for no good reason (don't let anyone
tell you you're a dumb-@#^&@# for hot-switching it manually while
transmitting if you know you didn't do that), the Rich Measures parasitic
suppressor modification will probably prevent such failure in the future.

The high plate voltage (= higher mu), the open chassis design and the
availability on the market of higher mu 3-500Z's are all conditions ripe for
higher likelihood of parasitic oscillations and catastrophic component
failures associated with P.O.'s

Just order the part and don't argue the point - you'll save yourself alot of
aggravation.
