HW-101/SB-102 Mic question

A low impedance microphone will not usually work
satisfactorily with a rig designed for high impedance.
However, you can build a preamplifier (using a FET,
or two, and a 9 volt battery) and use the microphone
without any modifications to the rig.

I know that these rigs are supposed to be used with a
Hi-Z microphone. How High? Has anyone used them with
low impedance mic's?
