Gentlemen:
Does anyone remember Speakerlab's kits? They were popular in the 1970s, and the company would probably still be big today if they didn't copy a Klipsch design and get themselves sued nearly out of business.
Anyway, I have two of their top-of-the-line speaker kits that are still unassembled. Ironically, they're the Speakerlab "K-Series," the ones that were copied from Klipsch. These babies are intended to set in the corner of a room, and the entire room then becomes part of the speaker. The midrange horns have cast aluminum resonators, and absolutely huge drivers. These speakers were only intended for serious audiophiles.
The ones I have are the "utility" versions, and I'd like to have the shelf space back that they've occupied since 1979. I'd be willing to sell them for what I paid for them in 1979, which is about $850 each.
Does anyone think there's a legitimate market for them? Speaker technology has come a long way since 1979, and many would pronounce these speakers to be obsolete. These particular speakers, however, will give anything on the market today a very serious run for the money.
Please reply "off list." My Internet service has been spotty since Comcast began to switch us from Excite to their own network, so don't be upset if I don't reply right away.
Thanks for your help, gentlemen. I sincerely appreciate it!

Very 73,
John, W8QA
