DX-100 grid current flicker

Thanks for all the suggestions. Here's a little more data. This problem
occurs when the plate switch is OFF. This DX-100 has had a neutralizing wire
added from the driver tuning cap past the first 6146. (These are 6146's and
I have tried 6146A's. No B'.) Wiggling that wire has only a little effect
when the plate is OFF. (Oh and by the way, thanks for making me look at this
again. The wire was not soldered very well and was slipping on the body of
the cap! I had noticed this many days ago but forgot to fix it. However,
fixing it did not solve the current problem.) A bigger effect happens when I
change bands and then go back to 10. I had noticed a similar effect when I
changed the meter from grid to plate and back, which is why I replaced the
switch with a non-shorting type recommended in one of AA8TV's mods. You
would think this would indicate a flaky bandswitch, but I've tried bypassing
it with clip leads and it doesn't matter. When I go to, say 15 and back to
10, I can often (but not always) see the grid current go higher than it was
before I flicked the bandswitch, but then it gradually weakens. Could just
be an intermittent somewhere that's getting jostled as I flick the switches.
