Filter capacitors.

Take some time to figger out how much voltage is across each resistor in a
HV circuit and regardless of the power dissipation, make sure it doesn't
exceed resistor datasheet spec for resistor voltage rating...there is such a
thing...not knowign what type of resistor was in there originally myself, be
aware that smaller modern resistors may not have as high a max. voltage
rating.
