Just my 2 cents worth - you might want to check with an actual oil
distributor/analyst/lab/specialist. They have a wide variety of
unusual oils (I was interested in a pneumatic oil that is food safe)
and I bet they could suggest a good choice for you. I suspect a good
hydraulic oil might be OK; that stuff runs very hot, and you sure
don't want it to flash burn. Since it runs at 2000 psi, it's pretty
stable, but, as I said, ask an expert. They'll also be able to point
you to a vendor if they don't sell it in small quantities.
