Thanks to all who replied. Consensus is that the capacitance of the O-scope probe is eliminating the oscillation. Tuesday, when I get my next crack at it, I'll put a 10 or 20 pF disk from pin 3 of T-103 to ground and see if that gets rid of the oscillation permenantly. 

More later.....and thanks again to the folks who took the time to point me in the right direction.
