Got lucky on finding the SWR/FS and the HTX-10's. But found out that the
only RS store in my area that carried the 102" fiberglass whips threw them
out with the garbage just 3 nights ago! ouch!

If you go to google.com, type in "radio shack store locator", it will allow
you to search for all the stores in your area. The manager of the 3rd store
I called took the time to search all the stores in the area for the whips.
He also said these fiberglass whips had been discounted for some time now
and many stores had just thrown them away after a while.

 I got to know my
HTX-10 last night and I think its a very nice little radio. Its smaller
than previous 10 meter rigs I have owned. It seems to have a bunch of
audio and watts out. I have found a few improvements on the web like mic
improvements but will run it as is for now.
