I am looking for additional tips for the Heathkit GH-17A soldering
station that was sold by Heathkit in the 1960's to mid-1980's
This station used a General Electric 6A203 soldering iron.
This GE soldering iron is rated for 6 volts VAC and 25 watt elements
These tip/elements (the tip and heating element were integral) threaded
into the handle and were about 4 inches long.
An inscription on the one 1/4 chisel tip that have is: GE 6A271 V6 W25 JH
Originally, there were 3 tips available (Heath # in)
1/4" chisel tip (GDP-317) Standard tip included with the iron / station
3/16" pyramid (GDP-327) optional
3/16" chisel (GDP-337) optional
These same tips were used on Heathkit GH-17 and GH-52 station stations.
[The 6 volt rating is uncommon, since most soldering iron heating
elements manufactured today are 24, 120 or 240 VAC.]
Looking for the 3/16" pyramid (GDP-327) or 3/16" chisel (GDP-337) tips.
Suitable substitute heating element / tip combinations also welcome.
