accuracy of HM-2140 watt meter

Folks,
It is easy to add a lamp or even two to those meters as long as the
meter case is clear. I use #330 14 volt aircraft bulbs for their very
long life. Don't use Radio Shack China bulbs as they will last only a
few days. Good high intensity LED's are even better. Solder some leads
to the bulbs and mount them with a dab of silicon rubber I put a 10 ohm
1/2 w resistor in series with each bulb to prolong life. Wire the bulbs
to a standard DC connector with a bypass cap. Be sure to twist the leads
where RF is present. Hook up to your 12 volt supply or a wall
transformer. Have installed bulbs in my SA-2060A tuner and Yaesu
YS-500 power meter, also others. Looks factory made and sure helps in
the dark. 73.
