DX100 issues

Hi all;

My 'being-restored' DX100 has the following symptoms:

1. EXtremely critical sensitivity of clamp adjustment...even 1/10 of a hair's turns significantly alters the drive/output ( I could live with this for the time being...but..

2. My modulated audio causes plate REDUCTION...(and the lightbulb to dim)...when turning up the audio gain..the 1625's start making noises ( previously, one flashed when I tried the audio with that chassis open and with a unshielded mike lead ...when the fuse blew and filter caps shorted...)...bad tube?...don't have a spare tube to test.

Regards,
Steve
