Apache part needed

Hi-
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement for the flat copper belt
that connects the final tune knob to the final tuning variable capacitor in
an Apache TX-1?
Mine was broken when I acquired it and I managed to replace it with part of
a nylon camcorder strap, but it causes some play and I don't know how long
it will last.
