Oscilloscope Recommendations

A good entry level scope is the Tek 22xx series, specially the 60MHz 2213
(or 2213A). Inexpensive, very portable, and ultra-lightweight (just under
12#). They regularly go for $100-150 on ebay. Sometimes even less than
$100. The cheaper ones might be listed as "needing calibration", but I
doubt that a functioning scope will necessary have to be calibrated for
general work. These units can go many years without calibration and still
perform amazingly close to the mark. That is of course if you're not into
missile technology, or something like that. Then perhaps a yearly
calibration would probably the right thing to do.
