Mouser at http;//www.mouser.com is one of the cheapest
places around to find Orange Drop capacitors. Those
are what you need to replace the old paper type
capacitors in your receiver.
Remember that the "new" standard values may be
slightly different from those used in the receiver.
For example what were 0.05 mfd are now 0.047 mfd.
Frankly, the new capacitors are going to be more
accurate than the old ones! Of course some, like the
0.1 mfd are still going to be 0.1 mfd. But, the new
values follow the 10 percent or 20 percent steps just
like resistors.

First off sorry for being slightly off topic. I just
got an old hammerlund hq-129-x given to me. I was
wondering what exactly is involved in recapping this
old rig. I have never done it before so please be
detailed(type of caps, where to find them, etc).
