What is it?

Many thanks to all who replied to my inquiry regarding a lemon yellow film on Heathkit SB-102 metal parts. Several replies indicated that they also had seen this color film. According to a local industrial metal plater, who inspected the radio, the film is corrosion of some of the zinc plated parts used by Heath. The film cleans off nicely with rubbing or isopropyl alcohol and a "Q" tip. White vinegar also removes the film but I hesitate to use an acidic cleaner to avoid any further reaction with the zinc plating.

Problem solved.
