SB-401 White Socket

The socket has 110vac applied when in transmit position.  I used it years
ago on RTTY to activate a cooling fan over the finals, and also to activate
a relay on a homebrew linear.

The SB-401 manual shows connections on pins 8 & 9 on this socket.  They are
connected to the AC power mains through a normally open set of contacts of
the Transmit/Receive relay.  There is reference to using this socket to
activate an external TR relay.  The transceive interconnect diagram shows
the socket to be unused.

Your equipment is ca 1970 vintage and things might have gone bad while it
was in storage.  Look the equipment over good and then step back when you
give it the smoke test.  Good luck!
