Hi..
I plan on restoring some SB series items and was wondering if anyone
has tried to replate various parts that
have corroded over time. What type of plating was used on the LMO, for
instance? I would guess that Heath had parts zinc
plated but I am not sure.
Other questions:
What is a good aluminum polishing techniques for cleaning up
transformer 'cans'?
Does anyone have a source of pots that were used on the SB101/2
for adjusting the balanced modulator, squelch, etc.
I am sure some people would suggest modern 10 turn pots, etc. I
would like to match the original pots, if possible.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jim
