Paul....I have written two articles on the SB200-201 and the SB220-221 on my
web site. I don't know the SB230 but I would gess that one of the issues is
the voltage on the bias that is proably used to power the T/R relay. If so
you need to isolate it through a second low voltage relay. I use a 9 volt
battery strapped to a 9volt relay inside of the amp. The realy is keyed
through the transciever, which ground the high voltage bias and activates
the main T/R relay.

I also had a lot of problems with my SB220 with a big mismatch between my
Ten-Tec Jupiter and the amp. I finally replaced the front end with L/C
circuits. You can get the details on my web page at www.k0gkd.com .. let
me know if you have any questions.

> Hi - I just picked up an Icom 756ProIII for the Holidays and was wondering
how my SB-230 could be used with this modern xcvr. Do I need some sort of
interface? Thanks! Paul
