AM on the DX-60

Hi Guys,
In restoring a DX-60, I find that the transmitter loads up fine on all bands
(150 ma plate current) but when switched to AM the current only drops to 100
ma while idling. According to the manual, I should be seeing 75 ma max on
voice peaks. Also the meter barely moves when speaking into my D-104 mike (which
I know is good) and the dummy light bulb load DIMS on voice peaks and
brightens when my voice diminishes. Tube check good. What's next to check? Any info
greatly appreciated.
