RF probe?

My Heath Cantenna has an output jack to which I attached my VTVM to read the
DC voltage.
I did not use an RF probe in this case.
This voltage comes through a diode and dropping resistor...so I gather it is
only a relative voltage reference and can not be used to calcuate the wattage
into the dummy...esp since diode are non-linear.
In order to estimate or calculate the wattage into the dummy I would need the
RF probe voltage measurement directly across the dummy resistor...is this
correct?
Now...how do I select an RF probe for my VTVM?
