Speaker Question

Before doing that I would try to either get them reconed
professionally or to repair them myself. To repair them if the
diaphragm around the voice coil is OK would not be that hard of a
job. Cut away the damaged foam leaving the edges behind if they're OK
and glue some similar foam pieces in place to replace them - a rubber
type cement would be what I would use. A Google for (recone foam
speakers) resulted in 534 hits.
