Ok.But why are most other sites so much easier to download from if FTP is
still king?Or to put it another way,why can't Bama use a more browser
friendly protocol... or whatever...since almost everybody else now does
so...apparently.
I don't buy it that Bama is somewhow *better* for using its
not-so-easy-for-all-browsers setup.
It is very helpful of course(when you can get it to work),but such a sacred
cow that people fear questioning it in any way or suggesting a more browser
friendly protocol.
Very few things in life are so perfect that no improvement is possible.
The bottom line here is the undeniable reality that huge numbers of would be
users have frustrating problems with it and that other,similar sites don't
expect users to download an FTP program in order to access the information
they provide.
