Heath Catalogs

While it's true about copyrights, The Heathkit Co. has not been rigorous
about defending their copyrights. I did ask for permission to post the one I
have on my website and the president (Lori) said she'd ask Legal if there
were any issues. Never heard another word from them, but I at least put the
copyright info on the page, just in case. (www.dzkit.com - see the "About
Us" page).

One thing to remember is that copyrights are still in
force (the Bono ammendment extended the Copyright Law
of the United States of America to 95 years) and thus
reproducing the catalogues would require permission
from the copyright holder.

Heath is STILL in business and is located in the "H"
shaped building that they occupied since the late
1950s in Saint Joseph, Michigan.  Their mailing
address was Benton Harbor but the plant was located in
Saint Joseph (south of Benton Harbor).  Heath is just
not making electronic kits any more.  I believe that
they are in the computer accessory, or something like
that, business these days.

I have no idea as to what their position would be
concerning reproducing their catalogues.  But, they
should be contacted to eliminate any possibility of
reprocussions.
