Shipping a SB-230

I have purchased a SB-230 in Ohio and have to ship it to NJ.
Does anyone have any advise on shipping the amp safely?
Specifically the tube.  Should I keep it secured in the amp or
have him take it out and ship it seperately.  If so - any special
packing instructions?

If we take it out do I have to do any setup after I reinstall it?
