Ethics of Junking a DX-35

Thank you all for your replies.  The consensus is the same as I felt upon
unpacking the unit and thinking about it for a minute.  I'm not going to
tear up a piece of history for the sake of easy access to parts I can find
elsewhere.

My XYL was right; it's going to end up in my shack.  When I explained I will
both restore the DX-35 and still work towards a homebrew rig, she pointed to
the partially-primed living room walls; what do you suppose she meant?
