Heath used PAN head SLOTTED machine screws -- (NOT round, flat or oval -
which are found at your local hardware stores).

McMaster-Carr is excellent (phone or Internet orders) and you can buy that
100 piece box cheaper and get the "real deal". I have an advantage in that
their warehouse and "pick-up" counter is 1 mile from the QTH !!

The back of your Heath manual will give the specific length of the machine
screw. 6-32 was a very COMMON size for Heath Equipment.

Some part numbers to look at:

91249A144 - Black oxide finish screw used with the Drake line of equipment

91792A144 - Stainless steel slotted 6-32 at 1/4" long (common size)

91792A145 - Stainless steel slotted 6-32 at 5/16" long (hard to find
elsewhere)
