Folks,
Yes you can find standard 6X32 hardware at any store But I think that
some of you are confused. You will only find standard 6x32 nuts there.
Standard nuts are 5/16 across the flats. Heathkit used the small 6x32
nuts. These nuts are 1/4 across the flats and are very hard to find.
When restoring my Heathkits, I like to keep them original. Searching
the web only resulted in two suppliers that had them. Just went through
this search.
Mc Master-Carr has a lot of hard to find hardware. They also have the
same screws that Heathkit used. The other supplier was so small that
they were out of the office when I called. Luck and 73.
