I saw some of the postings here about AM. I would just like to let ham's  
know it is alive and well in the Danville,IL area. There are about 40 am  
station's that get on 2m am every night at 8pm local on 145.600. We all use  vertical 
polarization. We use it because all of the hams that get on all have a  
vertical ant. We use the old tube type rigs but the new solid state rigs are  
welcome. Most of the rigs are Clegg 22ers and Halicrafters SR-42'S. I use a  Heath 
Kit Seneca with a Clegg Interceptor rcvr.  I also have a HW-17A I use  also. I 
know some think the Seneca is rare they may be not as plentiful as  others 
but we have 4 Seneca's here in this area I know of. Out of the 40  stations we 
have we have an average of 5-8 a night check in but have had up to  15 check in 
before. We have had stations as far as 100 miles check in before to.  Thank 
you for reading this I just wanted to let the ham's know we have a ball on  the
