Tighten all of the machine screws that go through the
chassis (especially the ones holding the circuit
boards in place). Also tighten up all of the nuts,
etc., that go through the chassis, this includes those
holding the RCA jacks on the back of the unit.
Remember, all of the grounds in the unit are made
through these and they come loose and/or build up
corrosion over the years. Tightening them makes all
of the grounds "good" again. I "fix" between 90% and
95% of the "screwball" or intermittented problems in
boat anchor equipment by doing this.
