SB-650

Jim,

I did some mods to an SB-650 that at the flip of a single switch (on the back)
converted it to a frequency counter to 1 Hz resolution, or back to a "regular"
SB-650.

It's not quite as straight forward as it seems as it seems, because, in normal
SB-650 state, it counts for only a portion of a second: up, down, then up
(depends on whether it counting the HFO, LMO, or BFO. (and divides by 25 or 100
etc., along the way). Then latches and displays, and it does this more than
once a second of course. (Sorry, I'm going from memory on a mod I did 25 years
ago.)

With the mod I did it could only update once per second of course. I have it
written down somewhere --- may not be exactly what you want, but there are a
couple neat tricks in it which might help.
