HW-101 INFO NEDED

I'm not familiar with the HW-101 specifically, but you have to "key" the 
PTT to put the transceiver in transmit.  This way the transmitter is 
'ON' , but with no audio input from the microphone all you should hear 
is the suppressed carrier.  Typical transmitters of this type should 
show NO output power on the usual output meter when properly nulled.   
Best way is to listen for the (suppressed) carrier on a local receiver.  
Then you can adjust the carrier null adjustments for minimum on the 
external receiver's S Meter.
