SB-102

Hello all again, I forgot to ask about 1 other problem I have with the 102.  
I can't keep the carrier out of the USB mode the LSB is fine but have to 
adjust  the carrier control all the time to null the carrier. Is there a better 
control  that can be replaced instead of the one that was used in the original 
kit.  I know that part has always been a problem in the Heath rigs SB and HW 
both? But  why is it only in the USB mode that gives the trouble and not both USB 
and LSB?  w9cau
