AC power input to Heath gear.

I would add a three pin AC plug and a ground wire to the set, and
permanently connect the ground wire to the chassis via any convenient nut
and bolt. That will give you safety without drilling any more holes. If the
cheater plug is removable you could use a 3 wire cord - if it's molded on,
add an external ground wire and wrap around the cable. 18 # should be fine.
