Guess you'd call it a one gigohm resistor in keeping up with todays terminology.
You may find something workable in an old computer monitor that uses an external bleeder resistor for the high voltage - those are usually in the hundreds of megohms....coupling a couple in series may do the trick. They are always encapsulated on a plastic shell, and have 3 wires (in - out and gnd) - and can also be found in junk projection TV units, especially the older front projection types made in the late 1980's. Of course to accurately measure these probably need a megohmeter or a VTVM. Theres also some flyback transformers made for current TV sets and monitors which have built in internal bleeders. I have seen technicians who know where to cut in the plastic case to remove them in tact and replace them with bleeders cut out of other flyback xfmrs to get them working.
I actually have some of these external bleeders for a Philips projection TV if interested. They are brand new but I dont have the equipment to measure their value with.
