Back in the mid '70s a guy in NY had just such a unit for sale.  I still 
have it; used it back then with my Natiional 200 transceiver, which did 
not have a sidetone.  I remember that it was advertised in 73 magazine 
back then, and possibly in QST.  James Research was the Co.
