any information on CM 2045 welcome

Can anyone tell me the hookup to use to check the rpm on a single cylinder 
engine with the Heathkit CM 2045 Small Engine Tune Up Meter.  I inherited 
one that is in new condition but I have no manual for it.  The ohmmeter does 
work as does the continunity light.  Thanks, slip
