Re Bird 43 OT

The Bird is hooked up the same way as specified in the
manual. Transciever on the right and load on the left.
The load for the HT was a dummy load and for the HF it
was an A3S on 20 meters. The correct elements were
used.

I will check the possibility of the contact shorting
to ground on the taper portion of the element.
