AM2 Question

I just got another AM2 SWR meter with some other stuff.  Upon looking at in
closely, it seems to be the earlier model discussed in Penson's book, with
the SWR calibrated to 6:1 instead of 3:1 and no red area on the meter.

How unusual is this?
