SB-301 LMO issue

Janusz, assuming the radio worked OK before, its something that has changed
since you've swapped LMO's. Check the LMO wiring; the B+, USB/LSB switching
voltage, & heaters. You can verify LMO operation by checking the 5 mhz to
5.5 mhz output. Put a freq counter on the LMO output and see if the LMO's
output tunes 5 to 5.5 mhz. If you don't have a freq counter, just put a test
lead on the LMO output and using a general coverage receiver, you should
hear the signal at 5 to 5.5 mhz as you tune the LMO.

I know that from working on the LMO's, the little stop washers on the
shaft, (I think there are 3 or 4 of them) can "jump" and your variable
capacitor stop points will be altered. Your "stop" points should occur at
full mesh and full open, with some latitude. Again, check for 5 to 5.5 mhz
output.

Also, as I think this through a bit, does this problem occur on all bands?
If so, then its in the LMO.
