Yoiks! A restorers worst nightmare

The responses were great! Thanks to all so very much. I have it solved. A
gentleman is going to send me a 4 inch hex shaped spacer that is 6-32
tapped
each end and he will put some cut off 6-32 thread stock in each end. Voila!
The groups comes through again.
