[Heathkit] Yoiks! A restorers worst nightmare

Go to a local hobby shop that sells K&S Metal products. They should have a selection of brass and aluminum tubing of incremental sizes. Buy a length of the tubing that just barely slides over the old spacer. Will cost about $1.00. 

Cut off a short length about 0.25 inches long. Use epoxy putty sold in auto shops for metal repairs. It will have an aluminum appearance when it cures. Place a small amount in the tubing. Insert each part of the spacer in the tube and press togethre tightly. In about 1 hour your spacer will work fine again.
