Thanks for all the great solutions guys! I really liked the GI-7B
russian tube mods. That would be a real inexpensive way to go! I
thought about the 572B thing but see that the space is really limited
and don't want to run an outboard power supply.

Remember that I still
need the transformer if I am to do anything with the project at all. I
looked at a new replacement from Peter D but that is price
prohibitive!-!! I need your help to come up with an affordable
replacement xformer!!
