Simplest is go to the drugstore and by USP mineral oil (yeah, the same
stuff granny used to dose you for constipation.)

Option 2 is to be good friends with a lineman at the power company and ask
him for some of the new non-PCB transformer oil.

There have been cheap skates you recommend various cooking oils and
apparently with some success. I always wondered why would anyone change the
oil in a dummy load often enough for the expense to be a critical factor?
