Chippewa KL-1

Anyone out there familiar with the KL-1 Chippewa amplifier? I need to replace the tube that Heath calls the "air pipe" that sits next to the 4-400s for cooling. I'm not sure what material this tube is made from. I tried a piece of plastic water pipe but that didn't last long, the heat from the 4-400s burned and melted the material. I suppose the pipe should be none conductive, at least the original was. Any suggestions is appreciated
