IT-11 vs IT28 Capacitor Checkers....

As others have noted, it's essentially the same, just cosmetic differences.

I wanted to add, though: I use mine (I have both) not only for the cap
checking, but use the leakage function to re-form old electrolytics. All
the basics are there: Contollable voltage with limited current and leakage
indication on the "magic eye" tube. I start at a low voltage and increase
until leakage is indicated. Then I leave it for a while, and usually the
eye opens. Then just continue to increase the voltage up to the rated
voltage, waiting for the eye to open at each setting.

Does anyone on the list know the differences between these two units,
beside the cosmetics? I was on ebay and I thought I saw one going north
of $100...can't figure out why the price went so high, except that there
might actually be a lot of demand for the device for the vintage radio
enthusiasts...I use mine a lot...
