HW-16 Final Tube Meltdown

Hi Bob,

Sounds to me like the final is self-oscillating / "taking-off" on you for
some reason...

I can see something like that occurring on newly homebrewed / untested rigs,
but not on something that has obviously worked well, up till now.

Is there provision for the neutralization of  that 6GE5...? If so, is it
something simple, like maybe a wire coming up from below the chassis that is
then placed parallel to the tube envelope...which may have been
inadvertently dis-lodged / re-positioned this past week?

Perhaps a re-read of the manual in this specific regard could be in order at
this time, lest you fry that tube (and you WILL, too, believe me --- I've
done it with 811A's MANY times in the past)!
