SM-2400 Frequency Counter Schematic needed or information needed.

I am trying to get a SM-2400 frequency counter up and running and step 1 is to figure out what type of dc supply it needs. The SM-2400 is a small handheld 0 to 500 MHz frequency counter and normally uses either an internal supply of 5 ni-cd batteries or an external power supply. My unit does not have the internal batteries at all - it only has a plug for an external ps. No idea of what that should be although I strongly suspect it should be 5 * 1.2V or 6 VDC. But if so, there must be an internal regulator as I suspect most of the ICs are +5V stuff.

But I don't know. So before blowing it up for sure with the wrong PS, I thought I would check first.

I may have asked this before so, if I did, let me apologize! I will continue looking.

Thanks very much to all.
