Apache TX-1

Well, as you know there were two sets of those knobs....Early ones for the
Apache that were aluminum....and usually look dull and sort of a flat, dark
silver....and the other set was chrome. The chrome ones were bright as all
get out, but I don't know if they ever came with the Apache....perhaps only
the later Marauder had them (and other shiney green boxes).

But, if yours are aluminum....you can try all the fancy car supply aluminum
wheel polish...but they just won't shine up a whole lot. Most of the chrome
knobs are now pitted...unless the rig had unusually good care/protection.

Then Heath went to the way cheap plastic knobs :-(

I am in the process of restoring a TX-1, but the knobs have lost their
shine, does anyone here knows how to bring them to life again??? Thanks in
advance for any assistance. Pat
